  1. Muscle Matters! It’s not just about looking toned and losing weight…muscle fights inflammation and protects our long term health,

  2. Don’t be scared away from strength training by the term “heavy weights”. Start strength training with weights that are heavy for you and build from there. don’t compare yourself to others. And you can start an effective strength training program with just 2 sessions a week.

  3. Love your Pilates, Barre or Yoga classes? Keep them - but don’t confuse them with strength training. They are wonderful additions to your routine, but they are not replacements for strength training.
